Raven-Symoné Heads to B’way, Romeo Gets Lead in New Madea Movie
Raven-Symoné is getting back into the habit of the Great White Way.
Deadline is reporting the That’s So Raven actress will star as Deloris Van Cartier in the Broadway musical Sister Act.
Symoné replaces Patina Miller and is set to begin rehearsals at the end of February. Raven will hit the Broadway stage in March, she has a minimum six-month commitment to the production.
The 26-year old, last seen on TV in the ABC Family channel sitcom State of Georgia, made her Broadway debut at age five singing with the Boys Choir of Harlem.
After Dancing with the Stars Romeo Miller will now go toe to toe with Madea.
The 22-year old has been announced as the lead actor in Tyler Perry’s latest Madea adventure, Madea’s Witness Protection according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Miller plays a man angered that a suspected embezzler may have stolen his church’s investments, and vows to take the law into his own hands. The movie also stars Eugene Levy and Denise Richards.
The actor also known in the rap world as simply 'Romeo' last appeared on the big screen in the 2011 romantic comedy, Jumping the Broom.
