Wale Earns Second No. 1 Album
The Album About Nothing moved 100,000 units opening week to top the Billboard 200, besting the Furious 7 soundtrack at No. 2 with 74,000.
This week’s charts feat gives Atlantic Records (the label behind both LPs) first and second place positions on Billboard’s album charts for the first time since July 19, 2014, when Trey Songz’s Trigga and Ed Sheeran’s X held down both spots.
As for Wale, The Album About Nothing marks a special accomplishment for the Washington, D.C., native. The release is his second consecutive no. 1 album debut following 2013’s The Gifted.
