Nas Breaks Down Racial Inequality on Instagram

Nas wants America to have more conversations about change.

Last night, Nas expanded on his initial commentary about the Charleston shooting with a heartfelt Instagram post about Black America.

In the post, which you can read in full below, he stresses that the African-American community is the country’s biggest exported culture, but at the same time still feels like it isn’t accepted. “How can we be the ones responsible for America's biggest export & fear for our lives like we shouldn't belong here?” he wrote. “I don't have all the answers nor do I believe anyone does, but we need to have conversations around how to improve as a nation.”

Nas, alongside other artists like his Mass Appeal artist Fashawn and Trey Songz, has shared his thoughts on the horrific murders of nine people by 21-year-old Dylann Roof.
