Chloe Bailey Responds to Critics Labeling Her Boring
Chloe Bailey is clapping back in a new video after spotting some hurtful comments on social media calling her “boring.”
During a recent Instagram Live session, captured by The Shaderoom, the 26-year-old addressed a few tweets she had seen that day, saying, “They hurt my feelings talking ‘bout how boring of an individual I am.”
The “Treat Me” singer explained that some might perceive her as boring because she keeps to herself.
“The reason I stay to myself is because this industry is crazy,” she said. “And if I was so mixy, I would have self-identity issues.”
Chloe shared, “You have to stay to yourself. You have to keep your circle small to save yourself, necessarily. This industry is nuts. Nobody knows how crazy it is.”
She continued, “If you all knew what I’ve been through and knew the stories, you’d be surprised I’m still even doing this. So, I have to be boring for my mental health.”
Despite doing a lot of press and frequent Live sessions with fans, Chloe said, “I can never do enough.” She added, “I’m boring? Because I keep certain things hidden and private? Yeah, boring is good because these folks are crazy. I don’t do drugs, I don’t do anything like that. I’d much rather be boring.”
The singer concluded, “That’s the thing—people speak on things they don’t understand.”
