Grammy Awards 2024: Killer Mike Wins 'Best Rap Album Of The Year' For ‘Michael’
Killer Mike is off to a great start at the Grammys.
The ATL rapper took home three major wins on Sunday (Feb. 4), including "Best Rap Album of The Year" for his 2023 album “Michael” which features his single “Scientists & Engineers,” which features André 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane. That song also racked up wins for "Best Rap Performance" and "Best Rap Song."
Additionally, “Michael” has collaborations with Young Thug, Jagged Edge, Ty Dolla $Ign, and 2 Chainz.
The album is the rapper’s first solo album since his critically acclaimed 2012 project “R.A.P. Music.” The 14-track project doubles as an introduction to who he is behind the music as his legal name, Michael Bender, dubbed “a lifelong rap fiend whose consciousness is seeped in the sounds of community that raised him - multiple eras of southern rap flows, Sunday church service, and barbershop discourse.”
