Rick Ross Willing to Bet $100,000 on Heat Finishing Better Than Cavaliers
Rick Ross insists that LeBron James is still "the homie." The Miami MC just doesn't like how the four-time MVP left his hometown favorite Heat to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers this past summer.
“I didn’t like it. I didn’t like it, man. I felt like he had a lot of unfinished business,” Rozay told Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex earlier this week about King James spurning the Heat to return to Cleveland.
Whether it was a classic case of confidence or just feeling scorned, Ross proceeded to challenge any taker $100,000 that Dwyane Wade and the Heat will finish better this season than King James and the Cavs.
“I feel like we’re going to be more balanced [without James]. You know the big homie, he’s most definitely one of the greatest ever — if not the greatest — but he brings a lot of baggage too,” Rozay continued. “We most definitely finishing better than the Cavaliers. I’ll put $100,000 on that. Most definitely. We definitely breezing through the playoffs and you never know…I’m staying optimistic.”
Although there's plenty of basketball to be played, the Heat (5-3) currently sport a better record than the Cavs (3-3) in the Eastern Conference. James will lead the Cavaliers into Miami to take on the Heat on Christmas Day. We'll see if anybody stacks their bands and takes Ross up on his bet by then.
