Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion Announce First Collaboration, ‘WAP’

There’s one more epic surprise in store for the 2020 Hot Girl Summer season.
For the past few weeks, speculation has been circulating across social media that Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion had a collaboration in the mix.
The Bardi Gang has been waiting for some new music from Cardi since the Bronx rap star’s Grammy-winning debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy.
On Sunday (August 2), Cardi teased fans that she had something for them coming, “I’ve got an announcement to make tomorrow,” she promised in a video posted to her Twitter and Instagram pages.
Sure enough, Cardi came through majorly for her fans, revealing that she is linking up with none other Megan, for a new song, titled “WAP.” The pair unveiled her new single on social media.

Along with the announcement, Cardi directed her fans to her website where she rolled out vinyl, picture disk, and other editions of the single, including a limited signed by her.
The exclusive merchandise will only be available for purchase until this Thursday (August 6), and fans wasted no time rushing to get their hands as Cardi returned to Twitter less than half an hour later revealing that the influx of traffic crashed the site. “Deum ya crash the site ! But keep going to that b**ch!” she tweeted.
“Wap” officially marks the first time that Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have collaborated on a song. This will also be Megan’s first release since she was shot last month. The incident occurred on the heels of her “Savage Remix” with Beyoncé, which went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
