'A Lot of Bad Dudes': President Trump Defends Immigration Ban by Calling Out Protesters and Mocking 'Tears of Senator Schumer' on Twitter

The executive order resulted in protests erupting at airports across the country.

Over the weekend, the nation witnessed thousands of protesters and critics coming forward to condemn the unconstitutional and un-American immigration ban signed by President Trump. The ban restricted Syrian refugees from entering the countries as well as immigrants from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.

Although Trump's administration claims the ban is in place to protect America and strengthen our national security, most people see the order for what it is: Islamophobia.

  • After witnessing protesters come out in support of the detained refugees at airports, Trump released a series of tweets more or less doubling down on his actions

Although the president claims this order is to protect the country from "bad dudes," he has neglected to respond to the harm this will cause the many refugees in need of a safe place to live.

For many Syrian refugees, including women and children, the application process to come to America is now indefinitely on hold, forcing them to scramble to find a new alternative while war continues to put their lives in jeopardy.

Additionally, after the order was signed, New York Senator Chuck Schumer delivered a press conference where he emotionally opposed the ban. In response ti the senator's tearful address, President Trump mocked his tears in the tweets above.

  • Additionally, it's time for Trump to put on his acting cap and assume the role of president instead of using 'bad dudes' to categorize terrorism

  • He must also own up to the fact that his order will affect more families seeking refuge than actual terrorists

Analysts have frequently come forward and stated that the chances of a terror plot being carried out by a Syrian refugee is much lower than the president is projecting.
