This Guy Pranked Straight Men Into Being in Gay Rap Video

As far as social experiments go, this one might take the cake.
Ben Bizuneh from Fusion’s “F-Comedy” recently decided to find out what it would be like if he shot a gay rap video, but with a twist. He called upon extras to be in the visual for a figurative rapper named Boss Quoss but did not tell them the rapper was gay and they would be in a gay rapper’s video.
The whole satire was to address the presumed problem with homophobia in the Black community, especially in rap. To Bizuneh’s surprise, however, more people than he thought were supportive of Boss Quoss after finding out they were in a gay video shoot and even stuck around to finish shooting it. Some did leave in protest of both being in a gay visual and for lack of notification that Quoss was homosexual.
“We're heterosexual men who love women. It's as simple as that," said one of the men who abandoned the set.
"I support Boss Quoss, the first openly gay rapper, and I ain't mad at him," said a guy who stuck around the set.
Hip hop has a long way to go when it comes to homosexual acceptance. This experiment shows, though, that there’s hope for progress.
