On this 4th of July, many Americans find it difficult to celebrate while there remains a humanitarian crisis at the border, a rise in white supremacy, overall discord between in the country. So instead of indulging in a problematic day, people on Twitter are celebrating a different holiday: Malia Obama’s birthday.
This year, the former first daughter turns 21 and the people can’t wait to have a drink (or two) in her honor.
Former President Barack Obama also made sure to wish his daughter a happy birthday while also wishing the rest of the country a happy 4th of July.
