The Situation Signs New Deal With MTV

The reality star will shoot a pilot later this year.

The Jersey Shore castmates continue to get new opportunities thanks to their successful show.  Variety reports that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has inked a development deal with MTV.

While there is no specific project just yet, the network will be shooting some pilot with the reality personality during the year.  Sorrentino said, "I'm excited to continue my relationship with MTV, which has been home for me for the last couple of years."

“The Situation” has already found ways to make the most financially out of his relationship with the network, reportedly netting $5 million a year from the show, endorsement deals and paid appearances.  The popular cast member added, "I'm really grateful for all the support from my fans. Hopefully, there will be plenty more situations in the future."

Some of his fellow Jersey Shore cast mates have already unveiled separate deals for new projects. MTV has ordered spin-off series for DJ Pauly D and Snooki.

The entire cast will soon venture to Italy to film the fourth season of Jersey Shore.
