Kid CuDi's HBO Series To Premiere in 2010

A new HBO series starring KiD CuDi is set to premiere on the premium cable network next year.

According to reports the show, titled How To Make It In America, created by Entourage executive producer Mark Wahlberg, will focus on a group of 20-somethings trying to achieve the “American Dream” while residing in central Downtown Manhattan.

CuDi spoke to The Boom Box on placing his focus on the show.

“It was important to me early on to branch away from music and actually do something outside my comfort zone,” CuDi said. “When we were developing my character with the writers, I was telling them, 'Man, I don't want to be anything that has to do with music,' just because that's not really acting.”

CuDi also spoke to AZ Central on his character.

“I have a lead role,” CuDi said. “My character's name is Domingo Dean. I actually named my character after both of my brothers - Dean, who lives in Phoenix, being one of them, and Domingo. My character's kind of the comic relief. He's really witty - a hopeless romantic but a player at the same time.”

The series will also star comedian Luis Guzmán and Eddie Kaye Thomas of American Pie fame. How To Make It In America is set to debut February 16th, 2010.
