Doja Cat Unveils New Song ‘Masc’ Before The Release of the Deluxe Edition of ‘Scarlet’
Doja Cat returns to social media to tease her latest song.
The Grammy-winning rapper/singer took to Instagram to share her new song “Masc” which is set for release on Friday (April 5) on Scarlet 2: Claude Frollo.
Along with “Masc” seven other songs, including “Acknowledge Me,” “Head High,” “Gang,” “Rider,” “Urge,” and “Hungry” will be on the deluxe edition.
During an appearance on “The Therapy Gecko Podcast” in February, Doja said that the deluxe edition of Scarlet would be titled Scarlet 2: Claude Frollo named after the character from “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” Variety reports.
“I feel like it connects to the story of ‘Scarlet’ in some way and if you look up his personality traits and who he is and his story, you’ll understand the whole connection,” Doja explained. “There’s a control aspect. He just abuses his power and his control and is dogmatic and a total cu*t.”
Released in September, Scarlet debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The album featured hit singles that included “Attention,” “Agora Hills,” and “Paint the Town Red,” which all landed at the top of the Hot 100.
Along with the release of new music, Doja will headline at Coachella and will have her first arena tour in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Doja’s first U.K. concert will be held on June 9 in Manchester, before heading to Paris, Sweden, and Norway.
