Singer-songwriter and actor Johnny Gill has filed a one million dollar suit against the Four Seasons Hotel for neglecting to prevent or help him after a white man allegedly hurled racial slurs at him and pushed him so hard it caused him injury, reports the YBF.

According to the suit, Gill, 47, was seated on the patio of the Four Seasons Los Angeles with friends last Friday (Aug. 23), when, at approximately 11 p.m. an inebriated patron came up to him, unprovoked, and called out his name with "racially charged negative remarks." The Grammy-nominated New Edition crooner "objected," and the drunken man's response was to push him so hard that Gill fell against a heating lamp and suffered injuries that resulted in major medical expenses and loss of income.

The Four Seasons is to blame, the complaint states, because "At no time did defendant's security employees, staff or representative offer any assistance."

Gill is suing for $1 million in damages for negligence, failure to intervene, failure to exercise reasonable care, pain and suffering and medical expenses, in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
