Rick Ross Responds To Ari Lennox Comments About Being Released From Her Label

His reaction is not what you think!

Singer Ari Lennox has made comments about her music career and wanting to be freed from her label after a distasteful interview went viral last week. While there hasn’t been any word from Dreamville Records or J.Cole, the label Lennox is signed to, rapper Rick Ross reacted to the “BMO” singer in The Shade Room’s comments section.

“She needs [Wing Stop],” Ricky Rozay said with no further explanation. In case you missed it, the Richer Than I Ever Been rapper has had a longstanding partnership with the chicken wing chain for quite some time.

On Saturday (Jan. 22), Lennox went on a small Twitter rant before deleting her tweets.

“SM is a traumatizing unhealthy place,” she wrote. “You are only accepted here if [you're] perfect and seemingly happy at all times. When every single life knows that’s not realistic. People cry, people complain, people are mad in real life. I just never cared to be a fake [a** b***h].”

Her comments seemingly came after the 30-year-old did an interview with South African podcaster MacG on his Podcast and Chill show, and was asked if someone was “f*****g [Ari] good right now.”

“Oh my god,” she responded. “That’s a wild question. Why ask it that way? Whoa.”

In the interview, Lennox said that she was caught off guard by the question, although MacG claimed that he was reiterating lyrics from her song “Pop” off of her 2019 debut album Shea Butter Baby.

As the interview started to go viral on social media, Lennox indirectly addressed the situation and how she felt about it.

“I’m just like…why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn’t anyone intervene?” she wrote in a series of now-deleted tweets on Friday (Jan. 21). “And why wasn’t parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with? I just feel slow and ambushed and blindsighted. Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don’t make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn’t react differently.”

She then noted that she wanted to be dropped from her label before adding that the interview with MacG “was the icing on the cake.”
