Rapper Rod Wave Arrested On Battery Charges
Rapper Rod Wave, born Rodarius Marcell Green, has been arrested in Florida.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the 22-year-old was taken into custody the morning of May 2 for battery by strangulation, which is a third degree felony that carries a maximum sentence of five years behind bars, five years of probation, and a $5,000 fine.The alleged victim has not been publicly identified.
He was arrested during a traffic stop but no other details are available.
In 2091, Rod Wave released Ghetto Gospel, which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200. His second release, Pray 4 Love, reached number 2 on the Billboard album chart and hosted one of his highest charting songs to date: “Rags2Riches.”
Last year, his third album, SoulFly (2021), scored him his first number 1 on the Billboard 200.
