Meek Mill Signs to Roc Nation Management
With his rap career on the rise, Meek Mill has lined up a plum new management deal at the house Jay-Z built. In an interview with Life + Times, Meek announced that he and his manager have taken their talents to Roc Nation Management.
"Yeah, that’s the new deal I put together. Me coming up in this rap game, I was always an underground artist coming up by myself and making all of the moves by myself," he said. "And my manager — he’s just like me, we’ve been coming up in the streets by ourselves. So we just decided to partner up with Roc Nation and take things to another level."
At Roc Nation, the 23-year-old Philadelphia native joins his fellow Maybach Music Group member Wale, as well the producer Jahlil Beats, a friend and frequent collaborator.
Mill just released the buzzworthy new mixtape Dreamchasers 2, with appearances by Drake, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz and more, and is currently readying his major label debut with MMG/Warner, Dreams & Nightmares. The album is currently slated for release on August 28.
