Donald Glover Responds to Jordan Howlett Comparisons in Unexpected Collaboration
Donald Glover has noticed the online buzz about his resemblance to social media star Jordan Howlett. In response, the Atlanta creator addressed the comparisons with an unexpected new collaboration.
Over the weekend, the multihyphenate posted a video where he sported an outfit similar to one typically worn by Jordan Howlett. Glover acknowledged the mix-up, stating he understands why people mistake them for each other since they are both “handsome people.”
However, just as he finished speaking, Howlett entered the scene, wearing the same outfit, and voiced his frustration. “Ok, no, I’m not doing this, I’m not doing this, Donald,” Howlett teasingly stated. “Everybody knows I wear eggshell and black on Saturdays. Why are you wearing the same thing?”
Glover denied the accusation, noting, “I wore ivory and navy for the past 10 years, every Saturday. Everyone in New York knows it.”
Howlett continued to express his annoyance, explaining that it's challenging for him to be recognized by his real name rather than as the “Method Man Lookalike” or “Grownish Gambino.” Glover empathized, claiming that people often asked him for recipes, mistaking him for Howlett.
The duo began playfully critiquing each other’s outfit choices at the past BET Awards 2024, ultimately admitting that “cultures were clashed” and “mistakes were made.”
Online users were cracking up over the clip, including on X, formerly Twitter, a user who noted, “Great chemistry holy s—t.”
