Here's Why The Internet Is Screaming #JusticeForSZA

This is out of control.

In her first Grammys nod since signing to California’s Top Dawg Entertainment in 2013, fans of SZA had rooted to the heavens for a Best Rap/Sung Performance and/or Best New Artist success for the R&B neo-soulstress.

SZA’s career landmarking debut album, CTRL, became the soundtrack of womanhood from the heart and eyes of a young, Black 20-something, drawing eyes to her ethereal vocals and connecting fans in the most mesmerizing way 2017 had ever seen. Alongside her mother and nanny, who SZA held on her arms as her dates for the evening and whose voices graced several intros and outros on CTRL’s track list, the 27-year-old expressed that the 2018 Grammys is her proverbial graduation.

But after her TDE label mate Kendrick Lamar claimed victory over Best Rap/Sung performance, and Candian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara, who made her debut in 2015, grabbed the gramophone for Best New Artist, SZA fans came to one conclusion: she was robbed.

See their discontent with yet another Grammy’s snub below.
