GRAMMYS 2022: Doja Cat And Sza Win For ‘Kiss Me More’
Doja Cat and SZA are officially Grammy award-winning artists!
The duo took home the golden gramophone for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for their hit “Kiss Me More” at Sunday night's ceremony on April 3.
Meeting each other on stage, Doja rushed out of the bathroom to head to the front of the room to accept her award, according to PEOPLE.
“I've never taken such a fast piss in my whole life,” the “Juicy” singer joked. “Thank you, everybody. Thank you to my family, my team, and I wouldn't be here without my fans — and you know what SZA, you are everything to me. You are incredible, you're the epitome of talent.”
Doja then asked SZA to share a few words to which she responded with, “Thank you Doja, thank you to my mama, thank you to God, and thank you all. I'm glad you made it back in time.”
Attempting to hold back her tears Doja wrapped her speech that soon received a standing ovation.
"D**n," she said as the crowd began to roar with applause. “This is a big deal.”
“Kiss Me More” was nominated alongside “Butter by BTS, “Lonely” by Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco, “Higher Power” by Coldplay and “I Get a Kick Out of You” by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga.
Doja Cat was also nominated for “Record of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Best Pop Vocal Album,” “Best Melodic Rap Performance,” and “Best Rap Song.”
