Second Suspect Arrested in Lil Snupe Murder
Authorities have arrested a second suspect over the shooting death of Lil Snupe, MTV News reports.
Edrick O. Stewart of Monroe, LA, was taken into custody last Wednesday (July 3) and booked into the Winnifield City jail on a single manslaughter count. Police have not released further details on the 21-year-old's involvement in the shooting.
The first suspect, Tony D. Holden, 36, turned himself in last month. Holden was charged with first-degree murder, illegal possession by a convicted felon, and armed robbery. He is being held in lieu of $2 million bond.
No bond amount has been set for Stewart.
Holden and Snupe -- an artist on Meek Mill's Dreamchasers Records — had an argument that escalated. "We are told they were betting on a video game,” Winnifield Police Lt. Charles Curry told the Shreveport Times. “Supposedly, he [Holden] robbed him [Snupe] of money.”
Snupe was laid to rest in late June. Among the funeral attendance was Meek, who said, "I saw myself in him."
