Raven-Symoné Would Do 'Cheetah Girls' Revival
It’s Cheetah-licious! Raven-Symoné is open to a The Cheetah Girls revival and recently shared her excitement with Disney costar Adrienne Bailon-Houghton.
The pair sat down earlier this week on E! News, and Symoné made it clear that she would absolutely be up for another Cheetah Girls project “in a heartbeat.”
“That's why any time she's doing something, I'm down and I know she's the same for me. And I think that there's a wonderful thing to just encapsulate something and let it live. We are in the era of reboot, honey. We love a reboot,” the 37-year-old said of Houghton.
To which Houghton swiftly responded, “We hate when they ruin it.”
"And we can't ruin the Cheetah Girls, they can't ruin it," Symoné continued in agreement. "So if there was anything, and I'm trying to be honest, I'll say this to your face. I'm not trying to act that much anymore, I want to direct. But if there was something that we did together, it would be us and you would be surprised — it would smash."
The actresses stepped into their roles in the 2003 Disney Channel cult classic The Cheetah Girls alongside Kiely Williams and Sabrina Byran and in the sequel The Cheetah Girls 2 in 2006. Two years later, the franchise added a third movie, The Cheetah Girls: One World with Houghton, Williams, and Bryan, before calling it quits in 2008 after touring a music group.
Since The Cheetah Girls, Symoné and Houghton have not only remained friends offscreen but worked together in other Disney Channel favorites. In That’s So Raven, Houghton played Symoné’s high school bully Alana. Raven’s Home, the spin-off to That’s So Raven, which also stars Symoné, had a guest appearance from Houghton’s Alana back in 2021.
