Bonds' Ex-Mistress Scheduled to Testify This Week
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Barry Bonds' former mistress is scheduled to testify this week when the slugger's trial resumes.
Kimberly Bell plans to testify that Bonds told her before the 2000 Major League Baseball season that he used steroids and that she witnessed physical and mental changes prosecutors attribute to performance-enhancing drug use. Her most contentious testimony is expected to include allegations that Bonds' testicles shrank.
Bonds has pleaded not guilty to four counts of lying to a federal grand jury and one of obstructing justice for telling a grand jury in 2003 that he never knowingly took performance-enhancing drugs.
The slated witnesses for the week also include Giants equipment manager Mike Murphy, IRS Special Agent Mike Wilson, former IRS Special Agent Ana Geter, former Giants head athletic trainer Stan Conte and former Bonds personal shopper Kathy Hoskins.
