50 Cent Opens Up His Wallet for Breast Cancer Charity
What bankruptcy?
Just because 50 Cent filed for Chapter 11, doesn’t mean he’s broke. Fif opened up his wallet to help out a cancer charity, reports All Hip Hop.
The 40-year-old donated $10,000 to Passion for Pink, an organization run by St. Louis native and Wild N Out cast member Hitman Holla’s mother, Sevmek "Sue" Fulton.
Fif shared on Instagram yesterday that losing his own grandmother to the disease fueled his decision. “The only lost on my record is to cancer my Nana was the love of my life, but @hitmanholla mom is gonna Win the rematch for me,” he wrote next to a photo of Hitman Holla and his mother.
Fulton, who is a breast cancer survivor and friend of St. Lunatics rapper Ali, threw an event for those suffering from the disease over the weekend. “We’re celebrating all survivors from all walks of life, anybody that’s fighting any kind of fight,” she told St. Louis news station Fox 2.
Ali got in touch with the G-Unit front man. “50 said, you know what my vodka, we’ll sponsor the whole thing,” explained Ali. “The next morning I got another text; he said, you know what? Cancer took my Nana [grandmother]. Tell Sue I’ma donate $10,000 to her.”
He’s not the only big name rapper to jump behind Fulton’s organization. Nelly dedicated a segment of his BET reality show Nellyville to Fulton’s work.
