#SocialBite: Dej Loaf, Lil Durk Remake Movie Classic
Not only do girls love Beyoncé, but apparently other artists really do too.
Like Drake and Will Smith’s eldest son, Trey, Lil Durk and Dej Loaf have joined the troop of musicians creating songs named after the global superstar.
Appearing on Lil Durk’s upcoming mixtape, 300 Days, 300 Nights (that’s a long time), the rapper opens up about his feelings about a certain young lady who he refers to as “My Beyoncé.” Lil Loaf adds a much needed female voice to the track, affirming Durk’s feeling with her own, as they both rap/sing to each other with auto tune-assisted vocals.
There’s no word if a video will follow the single, but a new post on IG is making us all speculate. Dressed in USC sweatshirts and basketball shorts, the two recreate one of the most memorable scenes from the cult classic Love & Basketball as Monica and Quincy.
The resemblance is uncanny, and the connection between Dej and Durk is undeniable.
Could this be the hint of a more intimate collaboration? We’ll have to wait and see.
Until then, you can catch Dej blazing the stage at Rae Sremmurd’s first Sremm Fest, going down Dec 18-20 with Yo Gotti, K Camp and Mike WiLL Made It (see below).
