Naomi Campbell Named Editor-at-Large for Interview Magazine
Naomi Campbell has been named the new editor-at-large for the new German and Russian editions of Interview. The fashion icon will give her opinions and conduct in-depth interviews with industry personalities in a monthly columned called "State of Mind."
"Being an editor-at-large is a new role for me and I’m very happy to be involved with such a prestigious magazine and one that I’ve worked with over the years," Campbell says. "I’m looking forward to meeting and interviewing people who are passionate about what they do and learning about their interests, whether it be art, fashion, music or other creative endeavors."
Some are saying Campbell landed the new job because the publisher for the two new editions just so happens to be her boyfriend, Vladislav Doronin, but nevertheless she's bound to have an impressive roster of connections in the fashion world that would benefit the magazine.
"Naomi is one of the rare personalities who is recognized throughout the world for her tremendous contribution to the fashion and creative world as well as her philanthropic contributions through Fashion For Relief," says Bernd Runge, the magazine's executive chairman.
Her first appearance in the magazine will be in an introduction for the December Russian edition, which is now available on newsstands. Her work will also be featured in the German edition, which will be available January 20.
