His interest in music began early
Foggieraw got into music when he moved to Prince George County, Maryland, from Ghana when he was five. “That's where I started doing music. I played piano and saxophone until I was 18, then I started rapping,“ the rapper said in a vintage interview.
He describes his music as “bright and colorful"
Talking to Complex, the rapper told the outlet, “That's how I try to be in life in general. I try to be outgoing, and the way I dress is very bright. I feel like music is a way to express yourself, so I'm definitely trying to go for a cool feel.”
He added, “When you think of cool colors, like yellow or pink or red. Not necessarily summertime stuff, but just cool colors. That's what I want people to think of when they listen to my stuff.”
His friends wanted him to do backpack rap
When he began rapping, he was surrounded by people who were into backpack rap. Though he dabbled in the genre, it wasn’t his preferred style.

Foggieraw’s latest track, “Psalm 62” features Alicia Keys’s R&B classic “You Don’t Know My Name.” The veteran singer-songwriter cleared the track, something that reportedly doesn’t rarely happen.
