Swizz Beatz And Timbaland Announce Apple Music Partnership
Hip hop super-producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have struck an exclusive partnership with Apple Music. Going forward, their wildly-popular ‘Verzuz’ series will now be available on Apple Music and Beats 1.
Apple Music will also be working alongside Swizz and Timbaland to produce new episodes of Verzuz. According to a press release obtained from a spokesperson for Apple, episodes will now be simulcast live on Apple Music and Beats 1 for free at the same time as they are livestreaming on the Verzuz Instagram Live channel. Following the live battle, fans can rewatch the match on-demand on Apple Music exclusively.
This announcement comes just days after it was revealed that Snoop Dogg and DMX are up next for a “Battle of the Dogs” this approaching Wednesday (July 22). Their showdown will mark the first episode that will be broadcast via Apple Music and Beats 1.
Ahead of their match, fans can get a taste of what’s to come by tuning into Apple Music’s specially-curated “Verzuz Cheat Sheet Playlist,” of some of the two MC’s biggest hits. Previously, Alicia Keys and John Legend’s Juneteenth piano duel that was also streamed live on Apple Music and Beats 1.
