Oscars 2022: H.E.R, DJ Khaled, and Tiffany Haddish Will Be Presenters At Ceremony
With the 94th Academy Awards just days away, show producers Will Packer and Shayla Cowan have revealed a few more stars who will present at this year's ceremony. Grammy-winning R&B artist H.E.R., comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, and Grammy-winning producer DJ Khaled will take the stage to present in a few winning categories.
The Academy previously announced Halle Bailey, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Samuel L. Jackson, Daniel Kaluuya, Zoë Kravitz, Lupita Nyong'o, Tyler Perry, Chris Rock, Tracee Ellis Ross, Wesley Snipes, Ruth E. Carter, and others would also be presenting, Deadline reports.
Only three Black folks from major categories have been announced for this year’s show.
King Richard, starring Will Smith, was nominated in six categories including Best Actor for his role playing Richard Williams. Aunjanue Ellis, who also stars in the film as Oracene “Brandy” Williams, was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
Denzel Washington's stunning performance in the Joel Coen-directed The Tragedy of Macbeth also earned him a Best Actor nomination. His nod is now his 10th overall nomination at the Oscars as he continues his record as the most-nominated Black actor in Academy Awards history.
Additionally, Ariana DeBose is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Anita in West Side Story and Beyoncé's "Be Alive" was nominated in the Best Original Song category.
Hosted by Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes, and Amy Schumer, the 94th Academy Awards is set to take place on Mar. 27 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
