The Cheetah Girls’ Celebrated Their 15th Anniversary And Twitter Can’t Deal
Gather 'round, everyone. A moment in history just occurred on August 15 as the Disney Channel original movie The Cheetah Girls celebrated 15 years since its official premiere.
The movement, which still stands as the soundtrack to Millennials' childhoods all over the globe, is currently being celebrated in a walk down memory lane, and Twitter is living for it all.
The Disney Channel, the network that brought the iconic film to television screens everywhere back in 2003, reminded fans of the Cheetah Girls anniversary on social media, and it sparked a reaction that proves that the early 2000s was the golden era for entertainment.
Adrienne Bailon, who played Chanel in the movie and went on to be a part of the then-evolved Cheetah Girls girl group, felt nostalgic, herself, posting a video of her singing the film's signature song.
The film, which also starred Raven-Symoné (Galleria), Kiely Williams (Aqua), Sabrina Bryan (Dorinda) and several others, initially premiered with 6.5 million viewers and went on to produce two sequels and three video games.
Feeling the Cheetahlicious spirit, fans of the franchise joined Bailon in going down memory lane and posted some of their favorite moments from the film and its follow-ups and shared what it represented to them.
