Ye Buys $4.5M House Across From Kim Kardashian
In the ongoing saga involving Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, the former has just put down beaucoup bucks to land a house located across the street from the latter to stay close to his family.
According to Dirt, Ye paid $4.5 million — $421,000 over asking — to land the 3,600 square feet property that sits on over an acre of land. The home was originally built in 1955 and has only been owned by one non-famous family in its history. Featuring four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a remodeled kitchen, the property also boasts a small guest studio attached to the garage, and a couple of horse stables.
Ye is no stranger to copping cribs. This past September, the Life of Pablo rapper and producer dropped $57.3 million on a Malibu mansion, which is just a 30-minute drive away from Kim’s Hidden Hills estate.
At the #FreeLarryHoover concert, the 44-year-old Grammy-winner admitted he wanted to get back with his estranged spouse and wished to be as close to his four kids as possible.
“The narrative that God wants is for you to see that everything can be redeemed, and all these relationships — we’ve made mistakes, I’ve made mistakes, I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband,” he said. “But right now, today, for whatever reason … I’m here to change that narrative.”
“I’m not letting E! write the narrative on my family. I’m not letting Hulu write the narrative on my family. I’m not letting Disney write the narrative on my family. I am the priest of my home. I have to be next to my children as much as possible, so when I’m out of the house, I [have] a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation.”
He added, “I’m trying to express this in the most sane way possible, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back at home.”
