Trevor Thompson, the father of the Cleveland Cavaliers center, slid into the Instagram baby shower mentions of his NBA star son's pregnant ex-girlfriend, Jordan Craig, letting her know that he hopes the impending arrival of his grandchild "will open my son's eyes."

It's a touching sentiment, which was received well from Craig while seemingly managing to shame Tristan at the same time for his decisions.

Thompson, 25, has been taking a beating on the internet since recent stories reported that he dumped his pregnant ex to date Kardashian.

For whatever it's worth, it sounds like Tristan's dad is hanging onto the hopes that his son wakes up in time for the arrival of his child.
