Vin Diesel Suffers Minor Concussion on Fast and Furious 7 Set
Vin Diesel suffered a minor concussion on the set of Fast and Furious 7 today, and shared details of the mishap on Facebook.
The actor posted the above picture of himself with director James Wan, writing, “Knocked skulls with [Jason] Statham, literally…then got beaten with lead pipes. Slammed against a car and suffered a minor concussion.”
But Diesel was determined not to let the injury slow down production of the film, saying he owes it to late pal and co-star Paul Walker to push through. “I promised Pablo (Paul Walker) this would be the biggest film in history…haha…all in a day's work. P.S. Proud of the whole Fast team.”
Undoubtedly, the cast and crew of Fast and Furious 7 are still dealing with the tragic loss of Walker, who died in a car crash on December 1, 2013. Production was halted while Walker's colleagues grieved and producers formulated a plan to continue the production without him. Production resumed last month and is expected to wrap in a few weeks.
