Tyrese Says His Feud With The Rock Is Over
Everything is love in The Fast and Furious franchise. According to Tyrese, he no longer has a feud with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Tyrese told Comedy Central's Stir Crazy with Josh Horowitz, “Me and The Rock peaced up by the way… We talked for like four hours about three weeks ago."
He continued, "What's interesting about 'The Fast and The Furious' is it's not about any of us individually. We're like the UN at this point. Everyone gets to go to the theater and say, 'He and she looks like me.' If I did it with [Ludacris' Tej], then who are we going to play off of? I could not just make it about me. I just could not."
The feud allegedly began in 2017 when Tyrese was upset that Dwayne Johnson signed on for The Fast and The Furious solo spin-off that delayed the next franchise installment. Tyrese reportedly needed the paycheck from the next film due to financial issues.
Fast 9 will reportedly be released on May 28, 2021, but Dwayne Johnson will not appear in that installment.
