R. Kelly Claims He Has Evidence That Victims From The Upcoming Lifetime Documentary Are 'Lying'
Since survivors of R. Kelly’s sickening crimes banded together for Surviving R. Kelly, a docu-series from Lifetime, a #MuteRKelly movement became a social trending topic and many have been anxiously awaiting to see what shocking revelations will be brought to light during the six-hour exposé.
A few months ago, a New York screening of the documentary was shut down amid bomb threats and recently, the late R&B princess Aaliyah’s name has been dragged through the scorching abyss over claims from former staff of the Pied Piper saying they witnessed the former collaborators being involved sexually and divulged new details from their “marriage.” With the premiere episode being only a few hours away, the legal team representing the Chicago crooner is threatening to file a federal lawsuit against Lifetime.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Brian Nix, R. Kelly’s lawyer, will file the motion today.
“Some of the girls are lying, but that the budget was too high to turn back now,” Nix claims
Nix also stated that Kelly feels “the subjects made false allegations to become famous.” Furthermore, the “I Admit” singer may have “evidence,” specifically two audio recordings, that corroborates his accusations that the network knew about the fabricated witness testimonies, but invested too much to pull the plug.
"Surviving R. Kelly" will air January 3-5 at 9 p.m. Watch the full trailer below.
