Meek Mill’s Son Spits Freestyle Onstage At His Concert

Well, looks like Meek found himself a little competition — literally.

The apple apparently doesn’t fall too far from the tree in Meek Mill’s household. The Philadelphia native was in his hometown for a performance at the NOTO Philadelphia club, and as the show spilled over into an after-party, the emcee pulled out a surprise.

  • After concluding his performance, the Championships rapper brought out his 9-year-old son, Rihmeek, to take the mic, as captured by TMZ

In the video, the 32-year-old rapper proudly watches off to the side with a big smile on his face as his son begins spitting his first few bars, no handlebars needed. Papi pauses, losing his flow, before Meek encourages him to keep going.

The youngster delivers some more bars that get a few cheers out of the crowd before his father takes back over the mic while offering some solid feedback. While his lyrics were a bit hard to decipher, the crowd seemed highly pleased with his confidence and knack for rapping. Like father, like son!

  • The touching occasion comes on the heels of a candid confession from the rapper in an interview with Gayle King where Meek said that his decades-long probation put a damper on his relationship with his son, causing him to miss out on major milestones.

The father-son moment caps off a week of major wins for Meek Mill. On July 24, his 2008 conviction for gun and drug related charges were thrown out by a Pennsylvanian appeals court. Following that, Meek said that he was launching his own record label, Dream Chasers Records, under Jay-Z’s Roc Nation umbrella.
