Snoop Dogg And Master P Team Up For New Rap Snack Collaboration
It's been more than two decades since Snoop Dogg and Master P first teamed up musically, now the duo is working together again.
The pair recently announced they were partnering to create Snoop Dogg Icon Chips, the latest offering from Rap Snacks, and that the legendary west coast rapper will also serve as an ambassador for the brand.
"We are family and there's enough for all of us to eat. We agreed on a 50/50 partnership. And the new Snoop Dogg Icon chips are coming soon in three flavors," Master P said in a statement announcing the deal. "I'm committed to continuing educating and giving our people the blueprint on building economic empowerment. Trust the process. We're taking over the grocery stores they can have the streets. Product outweighs talent, we made an empire with music and now we are making generational wealth with products."
Founded by James Lindsay, Rap Snacks regularly collaborates with hip hop artists to launch different flavor options. So far, the company has worked with Migos, Meek Mill, Yung Joc, Bell Biv Devoe, Baby, Big Tymers, Pretty Willie, Ms. Toi, Mack 10, Pastor Troy, and more.
While it's easy to see why Snoop Dogg and Master P would be drawn to work with one another on this latest project, for Master P, it's all about Black people coming together to build a successful venture instead of simply working for billion-dollar conglomerates that don't directly support Black communities.
"We let these companies make multi-billion dollars from us and we don't have none of the ownership in this, and we don't control it. You don't have to own everything, but if you control it, then you can feed so many families," Master P said in a video announcing the partnership. "We not destroying the community, we building it up.
There's no word on when Snoop's Rap Snacks will be hitting store shelves, but if any of the previous collaborations are any indication of what's to come, it'll definitely be tasty.
