Four suspects have been arrested in Tiwa Savage’s attempted kidnapping.

According to The Guardian, the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department confirmed the arrests, noting that they have “about four” suspects “in our custody.”

News that the afrobeats star was a victim of an attempted kidnapping broke on Friday (April 14) in what is being described as a failed stunt that was allegedly planned by her new employees who were trusted with her private and personal information.

Via Instagram, Savage shared an update on the situation from her management team: “Following recent reports online, we can confirm that on Thursday, April 13, 2023, there was a major security breach at the residence of musician Tiwa Savage,” the press statement she posted reads. “A number of suspects were caught and are currently being held under investigation at Alagbon Police Station, Ikoyi. Ms. Savage and her family are safe and well.” She captioned the post, “Thanks for all the messages. All is well.”

Last Wednesday, Tiwa Savage released her latest single “Stamina,” featuring fellow Nigerian artists Ayra Starr and Young John.
