As he continues to attempt to rebuild his once promising career, Nashville rapper and former G-Unit member Young Buck checked in with DJ Whoo Kid at Shade 45 radio this weekend. Despite his difficulties in the music industry and legal disputes with old boss 50 Cent, Buck said he remains hard at work on new music and is plotting a return.
"I'm on deck for all you rap n----s that's been gettin' away with that bulls--t that you puttin' out," he taunted, later adding, "The struggle's only making me harder and smarter."
Despite a much publicized falling out with G-Unit after the release of his 2007 album Buck The World, the "Shorty Wanna Ride" rapper said he'd be open to reconciling with his old running mates, even though he doesn't talk to them much these days.
"It's been a long time since I've had any conversations with [Lloyd] Banks, [Tony] Yayo, 50 [Cent] anybody from that camp," Buck said. "My thing is, at the end of the day we only get older out here, and the older I became, the wiser I became at the same time... We've had a lot of great moments, but at the end of the day the communication side of things has kind of fallen apart."
Buck, who filed for bankruptcy in 2010, is still contractually obligated to G-Unit Records. Last month he and his girlfriend narrowly escaped a drive-by shooting.
