Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are trying to put the pieces back together.

Last week, Jada dropped a major bombshell when she revealed they had been separated for seven years. Now, they are making amends.

"There's no finding another great love, and I think that's the point," she said during Monday’s broadcast on Today with Hoda Kotb. "It's like we are in a place now that we are in a deep, healing space. And we are really concentrating on healing the relationship between us.

"There's no divorce on paper. We really have been working hard. That's the whole thing. We are working very hard at bringing our relationship together. Back to a life partnership."

This has been a complex journey of self-discovery and inner awareness for The Matrix Resurrections star.

"Here's the thing about husband-wife marriage for me, for my healing process," she noted.

"I came into that with very specific ideas that were blocks to me seeing Will as who he is. He can't be this perfect, ideal guy husband. I have to be able to accept him for the human that he is, (and) he accepts me for the human that I am. And we want to love each other there."

When Kotb asked if their reconciliation will include living under the same roof again, Jada nodded and said, “Yea.”

She added, “That’s the only part in the special that I think got lost,” referring to their prime time interview that aired on Friday (October 13).

During that sit down with Kotb, Jada said she and the Oscar winner were “still figuring it out.”

“We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
