Natalia Bryant Talks Personal Growth, Self-Care, and Honoring the Mamba Mentality

“Mamba mentality is about constantly trying to be the best version of yourself,” the new face of UGG’s latest campaign says.

Kobe Bryant's legacy is in great hands with his children, and Natalia Bryant is keeping the Mamba mentality alive and strong.

Now representing UGG's fresh "Feels Like UGG" campaign, focused on self-reflection and self-love, the 20-year-old USC student and model emphasizes the importance of valuing personal growth and the lessons that have shaped her journey. In an exclusive interview with ELLE.com, she delves into the campaign, navigating challenging moments and her father's legacy.

The collaboration made sense because she's always been a UGG fan. "I'm obsessed with their shoes, because they're the perfect mix of comfort and style. You don't need to sacrifice looking good to feel comfortable because their designs are so cute," Bryant said in the interview with ELLE.com.

She wants to express herself through fashion and recognizes that everyone has their unique style. "Whether it be with clothes, shoes, or accessories, I think fashion makes a statement about your confidence and sense of individuality."

When it comes to embodying her father's legacy, the model told the outlet, “Mamba mentality is about constantly trying to be the best version of yourself. It's putting your best foot forward at all times regardless of all the noise. I want to make sure that mentality stays intact, because it can be so easy to give up on yourself when things get tough. You have to remind yourself that with positivity and resilience you can do anything."

Her father's tragic death on January 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash, alongside his daughter Gianna and seven others, sent shockwaves through the world. Beyond his immense impact on basketball, Bryant was an iconic figure transcending sports, influencing culture through his work ethic, tenacity, and commitment to excellence. Hence, the term Mamba Mentality.

His untimely passing sparked a collective sense of grief, prompting discussions on legacy, resilience, and the enduring impact of an individual who left an immeasurable mark on both sports and culture.

In the interview, Natalia also said what has helped with challenging times. "I spend time with the people I love, like my family. I hang out with my friends, or listen to my favorite music. I do things that bring me peace and that put me in a much better headspace. I think it's important to focus on the positive aspects life has to offer."
