Three years have passed since Tamar Braxton was forced to make her unexpected exit from daytime talk show The Real. However, while it appeared as all parties involved have moved on from the messy split, Braxton's recent interview on the Wendy Williams Show proves that may not be the case.

During Wednesday's (September 18) episode of Wendy, the "Love & War" singer she touched on her controversial departure from the daytime panel show.

When asked if she would ever return to the talk show, which Williams described as "cute," she responded by seemingly taking a jab at her former co-hosts, calling them catty, despite previously apologizing to them in a now-deleted Instagram post.

"Here's the thing. I don't wanna be anybody's marketing tool this season. No shade, but I just wish everybody well," she said in response to Williams who claimed she was "done dirty."

"I just feel like sometimes God has to move you out of situations before you become more toxic yourself." Braxton continued. "What if I was in a situation where I'm doing Braxton Family Values and it's very stressful, and I'm doing this other show where people are being catty behind my back? What kind of person would I be right now, sitting on this couch? I wouldn't be focused. I wouldn't be ready for my transformation. I wouldn't be ready for my elevation. And that's where I've got to go. I gotta go up and up and up and up."

The Real, which aired immediately after Braxton's appearance on Wendy, kicked off with Loni Love addressing both her and Williams' comments.

"We were just watching Wendy live. Hi, Wendy," she said. "First of all, thank you for calling us a cute show. We're also an Emmy-winning show. So, don't forget that, sis."

Going on to address the interview, she expressed her confusion over such a dated topic being rehashed.

"Tamar Braxton was your guest and we appreciate the fact that you brought us up," she continued. "I just want to be... full disclosure, it's been three years. I don't know why you guys keep talking about this whole situation."

Referencing Braxton's now-deleted apology, Love added that she has tried to reach out to her with the intent of them hashing things out on The Real's recently premiered sixth season. However, she claimed she got "no response."

"Tamar Braxton gave us an apology [this summer] for everything that happened, which these girls at this table had no issue of doing," she said. "Since then, that apology has been taken down. I, in my humble opinion of trying to be the strong Black woman, invited her to come on to the show for season six. It was a simple, public ask. I did try to call her privately. I've been texting her. I get no response. So, I just put it out there... The show has reached out to her."

Going on to directly address Braxton, Love stressed that they are not trying to use her for ratings, but rather just want to put the past behind them.

"Tamar, nobody is trying to use you as a marketing tool, sweetie," she said. "You apologized to us over the summer, and we just thought to close this loop... Just like Wendy did yesterday with NeNe [Leakes], that's all that's the intention, my dear. You are still welcome anytime. It's not a big deal. Seriously, we as Black women have to stick together... It's no pettiness, it's just... we need to have you come here so we can close the circle. You apologized; we opened it up to you. It is still there, and it will always be there. We love you, Tamar. You are a powerhouse. We know you know us."

Tamera Mowry-Housley, visibly bothered by Braxton's claim that there was "cattiness" among the group, interjected with her thoughts on that particular bit.

"It's unfair," she said. "Everybody who's closest to me knows that truth. And what I don't like is that out there — the lies. My reputation is not one of cattiness... We had no idea [she was being fired]. There was no ill intention. There was no meeting!"

Who knows? Maybe Braxton may take the ladies up on their offer to appear on the show to close this chapter for good.
