No Mercy: Looks Like Bill Cosby Might Be Spending The Rest Of His Days Behind Bars
The team of lawyers who helped get Bill Cosby convicted is reportedly gunning to have him die behind bars, new reports indicate.
According to Radar Online, prosecutors are expected to demand that the fallen comedy icon be sentenced to at least a decade in prison.
"Prosecutors will ask the judge to not only sentence Bill Cosby to prison, but to remand him into custody immediately at the sentencing," an insider revealed. "Bill's attorneys are expecting the prosecutors to ask for the maximum sentence, 10 years in prison on each count, but he would likely serve the sentences concurrently."
This comes on the heels of the recent verdict which saw Cosby be found guilty of all three counts of aggravated indecent sexual assault against accuser Andrea Constand, back on April 26. He is currently under house arrest at his estate in Pennsylvania.
"The defense will ask the judge to allow Mr. Cosby to remain out on bail pending his appeal, and if the judge denies that request, they will ask for house arrest [to continue]," the source added.
The insider further noted that, during the trial, Cosby was offered the opportunity to register as a sex offender and serve six months house arrest if he were to plead guilty to just one of the charges. However, it was turned down.
