Jill Scott can write love songs like nobody's business, but she wants her fans to know that she's not pining for anyone nor is she antsy to jump into a relationship. In an interview with MadameNoire.com, the singer opened up about feeling a bit "been there, done that" when it came to marriage.
"I'm not pressed for romance or love," she said. "Love, yes. But I'm not pressed to be in a relationship with anybody. If it happens, it happens, but I'm not on a man hunt."
"Eventually, would I like to get married? I don't know. I did that. I've been there and I married my best friend so if I were going to do that again I'd have to be swept," she added.
That said, the Baggage Claim star isn't above some grand gestures when it comes to love. Scott revealed that one of the craziest things she's ever done for love involved a mad dash to the airport to catch a flight heading towards someone special.
"Getting on a plane impromptu – literally just going to the airport, not knowing if there's a flight or not – and getting on a flight and flying for six hours to apologize."
