Lil Wayne Speaks on Jay-Z Diss

Weezy is not worried about the repercussions of his actions.

Lil Wayne has the Internet going nuts after the leak of his hotly anticipated album Tha Carter IV last night (August 25), but one track in particular has hip hop fans perking up their ears. On "I'm Good," which also features Drake and Jadakiss, Wayne tosses a barb in the direction of rap king Jay-Z.
The diss is in response to a line from Jay-Z on the Watch the Throne track "H.A.M.," which many believed was a swipe at the Young Money soldier.
"Half a billi, really? You got Baby money / Keep it real with n****s, n****s ain't got my lady's money."
To retort, Wayne makes a threat toward Jay and his lady, Beyoncé, on "I'm Good."
"I got your baby money, kidnap your b**ch get that 'How much you love your lady?' money," he snipes.
In a just-released interview with Vibe magazine, Wayne shows no concern for a backlash from the verbal slight.
“I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” he asserts. “I know for a fact music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction.”
Despite his apparent nonchalance, Weezy said he wasn't ignorant about the potential impact of his words.
“I’m not going to say I don’t know what would happen before I even say [something on record]. I do know what will happen. I’m aware of it. But it is what it is,” he said.
Tha Carter IV rolls out to stores on August 29. The Drake–featuring single, "She Will," recently debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
