Jeannie Mai Reveals Why She's Excited To Be A Girl Mom: ‘Raising A Little Girl Is Such An Honor To Me’
Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Jeezy just revealed the gender of their newborn baby—and it’s a girl! The big gender reveal comes after the married couple teased details about their daughter’s arrival. Keep scrolling to learn how Jeannie plans to build an unbreakable bond with Baby Monaco Mai Jenkins.
On Wednesday’s episode of The Real, Jeannie shared the heartwarming announcement with her co-hosts, along with her thoughts about becoming a girl mom.
“That’s the part that I’m still just so overwhelmed with,” the talk show co-host shared about her excitement of having a daughter. “I can’t explain to you how many visions jumped into my head the moment I put that little girl into my hands. I thought about my relationship with Mama Mai. I can’t wait to have that bond with Monaco.”
She added, “I also thought about all the things that I didn’t learn as a little girl that I can’t wait to teach my daughter. There’s just so many reasons why raising a little girl is such an honor to me. I would have been happy with anything, but to have Monaco, I feel chosen. I can’t wait to raise a really strong, loving, empathetic, humorous, fashionable, fly little girl.”
On Jan. 11, the Jenkins proudly announced the birth of their first child together. The following week, the couple revealed that Baby Monaco’s name had a special meaning to their relationship.
“Three years ago, Jeezy and Jeannie were talking on a bridge in France, talking about what it meant to do life together,” co-host Adrienne Bailon explained on the couple’s behalf. “Here they decided to grow and raise a family together. Hence, they named their child after the city that changed their lives forever: Monaco Mai Jenkins.”
We love the excitement and good vibes surrounding Baby Monaco. Join us in congratulating the growing Jenkins family!
