Fantasia Barrino Is Slaying 'The Color Purple' Press Tour
In just under a month, the eagerly awaited debut of the 2023 adaptation of "The Color Purple" will grace our screens, featuring Fantasia Barrino in the leading role of Celie. Familiar to many from her Broadway performance in 2005, this role served as a catalyst for her international acclaim, propelling her star power and influencing her evolving fashion sense.
As she tours to promote the Oprah Winfrey-produced production, the multi-talented artist, known for her transition from actor to singer, continues to captivate audiences with her diverse and striking attire, both domestically and internationally. Throughout her journey, one constant remains: her iconic pixie cut, a signature element of her style.
Gotta love it!
As the world takes a front-row seat to marvel at Barrino's style evolution, we're reminded with each look that our girl has been a star since before her early days on "Americal Idol," where we first fell in love with her.
Here are some of our favorite looks she has rocked leading up to premiere day on December 25.
Sculpted To Perfection
While in the Big Apple, 'Tasia took the classic suit and tie look to the next level. She rocked Dolce & Gabbana from head to toe, catapulted with a chocolate corseted dress with a black trench coat.

Goddess Life
All hail the queen because she is rightfully deserving of honor. The "Truth Is" singer was truly on her grown woman 'ish in his Christian Siriano gown that draped across her chest and waist.

Now, 'Tasia, you better work it like a boss! While donning Sergio Hudson, Fantasia commands attention like she was born for this. Yellow + black has never looked better.

If you're going to do it, you might as well do it right. Fantasia was picture-perfect while rocking this platinum number. That look back is something else. Don't hurt 'em girl!

One thing for certain, and two things for sure, when we wear white, we put that thang on! The Grammy winner was a dream made reality in this Hanifa dress.

Now we know it was just a matter of time before she broke out a purple number, and baby, this did not disappoint. With legs for days, and melanin like hers, this look is top-tier.
