Frank Ocean Shares Unreleased Music for the 10th Anniversary of ‘Channel Orange’
Frank Ocean has come out of hiding to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his classic album, Channel Orange.
Taking to his Blonded Radio Apple Music 1 radio show over the weekend, Ocean debuted two episodes and some unreleased music, which has his hardcore fans happy. “blonded LSD,” which served as a conversation with Dr. James Fadiman, found the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter talking about microdosing psychedelics.
The “thirty-five-minute original score,” included in the piece was produced by Ocean, whereas the second episode, called “blonded ENERGY!,” was an extended conversation with Mingtong Gu. Gu, who teaches the Chinese practice of Qigong, had his appearance buoyed by a bed of music that had the word “energy” repeated over and over and had some balmy guitars on the outro.

Previously, Ocean’s blonded Radio was broadcast on Christmas Day 2021, and found him in a similar talk with the Dutch motivational speaker Wim “Iceman” Hof.
In an Instagram post, Ocean wrote of Hof, “We spoke for a while about his work, the purpose of grief, and how going into the cold water changed his life. It reminded me of conversations in the studio with players I know. Freewheeling, psychedelic, emotionally charged, intelligent, and generous. I enjoyed listening to him, so in this edit I just let him speak uninterrupted.”
