Lebron and Bronny James Deny Responsibility In 2022 Car Crash
Los Angeles Lakers father-son duo Lebron and Bronny James deny they were involved in an alleged car accident on November 13, 2022.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Jameses’ have denied responsibility for “each and every allegation” made in the lawsuit by accusers April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen. The women said the alleged collision along Pearblossom Highway near Littlerock, California, about an hour north of Los Angeles, caused them to lose income at their jobs and suffer medical and car expenses.
Filed last October in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the lawsuit read that the James’ “negligently owned, controlled, repaired, entrusted, maintained and operated an automobile as to cause it to, and it did, become involved in an accident or collision,” resulting in the accusers being allegedly injured.
Among the 14 defenses to the case listed in the filing are claims that, if damage or harm took place, it was “by persons other than these answering defendants” and “by plaintiffs in failing to conduct themselves in a manner ordinarily expected of a reasonably prudent person in the conduct of their affairs and person.”
The father and son have requested compensation, including payment of the lawsuit's expenses and a ruling in their favor.
