Three More Suspects Arrested in Boston Bombings
The Boston Police Department has three other suspects in custody in the Boston Marathon bombings that killed three people and wounded hundreds of others.
Officials say two of the three people arrested are originally from Kazakhstan. The suspects were college friends with the main suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, according to the Associated Press. Investigators have not released the name of the third suspect.
Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev had appeared via video for an immigration court hearing earlier Wednesday for allegations of violating their student visas while attending the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
They may face separate federal charges in the case of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The department tweeted on Wednesday that they were investigating other ties to the deadly explosions. The police say there is no threat to public safety and they will release further details when they become available.
